Preventative Treatment
To prevent a problem is always better than fixing one. Our Preventative treatments at City Square Dental are designed
to make sure your teeth and gums stay healthy. Preventative treatments include the following:
Dental Exams: An examination of your teeth gums and surrounding oral tissues. All patients' young and old are provided
this service to keep the entire mouth healthy and problem free.
Periodontics: Commonly known as "scaling", periodontics involve your dental hygiene treatments designed to maintain or
improve the health of your gums. Also known as preventative dentistry, these treatments help to prevent gum disease.
Night Guard: A night guard is a plastic device that covers all of the upper or lower teeth. A night guard is used to prevent
wear on the teeth caused by tooth grinding during sleep, a medical condition known as Bruxism. Clenching and
grinding make the chewing muscles tired. That's what causes them to go into spasm and spasms cause pain.
Nightguards also help prevent TMJ and clenching disorders.
Restorative Treatment
When a problem does arise with the condition of your teeth, a wide array of Restorative treatments is available to you.
These treatments will restore the function of the your teeth and can be done in an esthetically pleasing way.
The following are just a few examples:
Fillings: Restoration of lost tooth surface with metal, or tooth colored composite material.
Crown and Bridge: Dental restoration covering all or most of the tooth. A bridge is used to fill
in spaces where teeth are absent and also incorporates the teeth on either side of the gap. Crown and Bridgework
may consist of metal, porcelain, or other durable materials.
Sealants: A thin resin material used to fill in the deep natural grooves on teeth to prevent decay.
Extractions: The removal of a tooth due to decay or in the interest of better overall dental health.
Endodontics (Root Canal): Treatment used to save infected teeth.
Whitening: Whitening is a safe, effective way to lighten the color of your natural tooth surface and
restore your smile to its original brilliance.
